
About the training
Ocean State Action and our member
organizations are launching an exciting training program this fall for members
who are interested in being able to lead electoral campaigns, or may even run
for office some day. This training, called New Voices Campaign Institute is
scheduled to take place over three Saturdays in September, October, and November.
The Institute is open to 30 new leaders that have a real commitment to public
service for social change.

Sign up today! Participate in quality skills training led by experienced progressive
leaders. Classroom trainings and hands-on experience will provide you the tools
you need.
Training Dates
Saturday, September 15th, October 20th, and November 17th. All days are scheduled for 9am to 3pm. Location TBA. Cost is $50 for all three trainings, but scholarships are available.
Who Should Apply?
The Institute is open to 30 participants that have a real commitment to public service for social change.
All applicants must be a member of one of Ocean State Action's member organizations. Many of these memberships are free of charge and easy to sign up for. OSA organizations with a membership base include ACORN, NOW, Marriage Equality RI, NEA, NASW, and the Sierra Club.
If you are interested in building your skills to volunteer for or manage an electoral campaign, or even to someday run for public office, then you should complete the application for the New Voices Campaign Institute.
Every applicant will be contacted on a rolling basis about admission to the training.
